Auditor General Caught Red-handed?

Purported Secret Letter By The Auditor General To Prosecute NDC Sympathisers Intercepted

The Managing Editor of the Searchlight Newspaper, Mr Ken Kuranhchie has accused the Auditor General, Dr. Dua Agyemang of attempting to persecute institutions and appointees with suspected National Democratic Congress (NDC) leanings, just to divert attention from acts of corruptions being alleged against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

According to Mr Ken Kuranchie, he has intercepted a letter written by Dr Dua Agyemang to the Private Secretary of President Kufuor, Ambassador D.K. Osei, which reveals anti NDC agenda that has the ulterior motive of chasing and haunting suspected NDC sympathisers.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station, Mr Ken Kuranchie intimated that the memo to Ambassador D.K. Osei is in contravention to the appointment of Mr Dua Agyemang who is supposed to report directly to Parliament.

In reaction to the allegations, Mr Edward Dua Agyemang blamed Mr Ken Kuranchie of exposing his ignorance without taking time to know the work of the Auditor General.

According to Mr Dua Agyemang, it is not wrong to write any authority that requests cases of audits completed, noting that majority of the cases in the said letter are in the public domain and seen by Parliament.
