Awal Mohammed, who is the branch chairman for the NDC Madina Constituency, has submitted his nomination forms at the Electoral Commission's office, standing as an independent candidate for the Madina Constituency.

He called on citizens in the Madina Constituency to vote him into power for development.

Speaking in an interview, Awal Mohammed disclosed that he chose to go independent because he wants to stay true to the National Democratic Congress's core values and prioritize the needs of Madina's residents.

Many supporters of Hon. Awal, speaking to the media, expressed confidence in his leadership, referring to voting for Hon. Awal as a member of Parliament for Madina and John Dramani Mahama as president as the leaders to revive Madina.
