The Municipal Chief Executive of Ayawaso West (AWMA), Sandra Owusu- Ahinkorah joined a high powered delegation to distribute food items in her municipality.

Amongst the delegation was the Regional Nadmo Coordinator, Mr. Archibald Cobinah. Others were the Municipal Coordinating director and senior officers of the Assembly.

In a short message preceeding the donation the MCE said this is a follow up to the cooked food that was shared during the period of the locked down. The food is to cater for households as they are trying to pick up the pieces after the lockdown. We are targeting as usual persons living with disability, the aged and the needy.

I am sure when we talk about AWMA people concentrate on the plush areas of East Legon, Dworwulu and the rest but we have our share of poor and the needy residing with us.

The donations started from Menpe Asem a suburb of the Assembly and is expected to reach over 2000 residents in the 13 electoral areas under the AWMA. A package includes rice, cooking oil, sardine, beans, gari and tomato paste.

The Assemlyman for the area Hon. Tutu Annie was present to take the team round for the donations.

She told the opportunity educate people on the need to wear face mask and distribute mask to people who did not have.

The people expressed their joy on the fact that the MCE could join in the distribution.
