A 16-year-old BECE candidate has been stabbed to death at Tafo in the Old Tafo Municipality of the Ashanti region.

Isaac Arko, a final year student of Tafo Methodist JHS was allegedly murdered by a gang of five.

The incident happened around 8:30pm on Saturday, 26 May 2018 after the UEFA champions league final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

The deceased was said to have been beaten and stabbed several times. He was rushed to the Tafo government hospital but died upon arrival.

The assembly member for Tafo Ahenbronum, Twum Albert, who narrated the incident to Adehye FM's Elisha Adarkwah said a friend of the deceased had fought with one of the gang.

The gang, however, met the deceased and questioned him on the whereabouts of his friend who had fought with their colleague.

The deceased was, however, given a hot chase by the gang after he had replied that he had not seen him. He fell in the process and was beaten and subsequently stabbed several times to death by the gang.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Tafo government hospital morgue.

Police have commenced investigations into the incident.
