Ho, April 18, GNA- The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) started smoothly in all the five centres in Ho township Turnout was high as only five out of the 1,767 candidates were absent.
Mr Dickson Pi-Bansah, Public Relations Officer at the Municipal Education Directorate said a total of 4,304 candidates were registered to write the exams in 20 centres in the Municipality. He said the only snag was the non-inclusion of the answer sheets of a blind student but added that it was quickly solved with the help of special education personnel of the Directorate.
Mr Harrison Vortuame, Mr Walter Kuda, and Mr Emmanuel Agbo supervisors at OLA Secondary School, Mawuko Girls Secondary and Mawuli Schools respectively, told the Ghana News Agency that materials were supplied on time for the exams to begin on schedule. 18 April 05
