Hohoe, Sept. 1, GNA - The Hohoe branch of the Bank of Ghana Ladies Association (BOGLA), has donated beddings and food items to the Children's Ward of the Hohoe District Hospital as part of their maiden weeklong anniversary. The items, worth two million cedis include 24 pillows, 24 bed-sheets, bananas, oranges and loaves of bread. Ms Samuella Quartey, Local President, who presented he items, said the gesture was the Association's 93widow's mite=94 towards the upkeep of children at the Hospital. She said the future held prospects for their continued benevolence, being an infantile Association and urged other institutions to emulate them.
Madam Patricia Azumatse, Principal Nursing Officer of the Hospital, who received the donation, thanked BOGLA saying, "Our doors are widely opened to all supports". Other activities planned for the anniversary include outreach programmes to churches on safe keeping of the Ghanaian currency the cedi, health talk on breast cancer and menopause, excursion to Wli Waterfall and a thanksgiving service to climax the anniversary.
