Ghana's Black Stars have failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following a 1-1 draw against Angola in their crucial qualifier match.
Ghana took an early lead with a stunning free-kick from captain Jordan Ayew in the 18th minute, giving fans hope for a much-needed victory.
Angola had a chance to equalize in the 26th minute but missed a penalty, keeping Ghana's lead intact.
The pressure from Angola finally paid off in the 64th minute when Zini scored a header, leveling the score at 1-1.
This result leaves Ghana at the bottom of Group F with just one match remaining, effectively ending the nation's hopes of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON.
This marks the first time since 2004 that Ghana will miss out on the prestigious tournament.
The draw is a significant blow to the Black Stars, who have struggled throughout the qualifying campaign in a group that featured the likes of Angola, Sudan and Niger.
⏰ Full Time in Luanda.
