The Founder and Leader of Glorious Wave Church International, Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has issued a stern warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership not to abandon key individuals who played a vital role in securing their decisive victory in the recent general elections.

Badu Kobi emphasised that the NDC must recognise and honour those who contributed to the party's success, specifically highlighting Philip Appiah Kubi Agyeman, the vice-presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) in 2024, for his pivotal role in maintaining the party’s position on the ballot paper.

During a church service, Badu Kobi revealed that Agyeman, also known as Roman Fada, was instrumental in ensuring that the NDC retained its 8th position on the ballot paper, a factor he claimed was critical to the party's success.

According to Badu Kobi, he had personally cautioned Roman Fada not to relinquish his number 3 position, as doing so would have caused the NDC to lose its 8th position, thereby negatively impacting the party’s chances of winning the election.

“When Akua Donkor passed away and the NDC’s position needed to shift from 8 to 7, I spiritually intervened. I called Roman Fada and told him to ensure that President Mahama didn’t lose the 8th position on the ballot. Every effort had been focused on that number 8, and if it was lost, it would have been disastrous,” he explained.

Badu Kobi also disclosed that Roman Fada had rejected alleged offers from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to withdraw from the presidential race, maintaining his position in solidarity with the NDC.

He warned the NDC leadership of the consequences, should they fail to honour Roman Fada for his contributions.

“I advised him to stay in the number 3 spot and reject any offers from the NPP. NDC, I am telling you this through social media, if you don’t appreciate this man, I will speak out. I urge Elvis Afriyie Ankrah to communicate this to the party because Roman Fada stood firm even when the NPP tried to buy him out. He refused the money, despite its worth, because the 8th position needed to be protected,” Badu Kobi stressed.

The prophet further explained his endorsement of John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2024 elections, stating that Mahama is destined to be Ghana's next transformative leader, comparing him to the country’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah.

“Let me tell you why I stand with John Dramani Mahama. Ghana lost Kwame Nkrumah, and the divine plan was for the country to have a second Nkrumah. John Dramani Mahama is the second Kwame Nkrumah,” he concluded.
