Baptist Convention holds Annual Session

The Ghana Baptist Convention (GBC) will hold its Annual Session Programme from August 19 to 23 at Ejura in the Ashanti Region, to review its activities for the year.

The session will also see the ordination of some reverend ministers among other major activities of the Convention.

It will bring together all members of the Convention across the country and some other foreign branches, including those in the United States of America.

The session will be under the theme: “Safeguarding Authentic Christian Faith and Practice,' WITH Former President of the Scripture Union, Apostle Jude Hama, as the Chairman.

The Special Guest of Honour for the event is the Second Lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Authur.

The Executive President of the Convention, Reverend Ernest Adu-Gyamfi, in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Accra, said the Convention has attached much importance to the session, and encouraged every member to attend.

He said the Convention was committed to the welfare of its members, adding that, "one of things that makes members of a good standing is the participation of such sessions and the participation of other major activities of the convention.'

Rev Adu-Gyamfi asked members of the Convention to let the theme of the session reflect in them.

He expressed appreciation to the programme planning committee for the good work done, and thanked the national officers and all members nationwide for their support and contributions towards the advancement of the Convention.
