Mrs. Barbara Mahama, widow of the late Major Maxwell Adams Mahama, has opened up a little on her sentiments towards those who had a hand in the gruesome killing of her late husband that took place in May of this year.

Speaking in an interview on GhOne TV, the late Major Maxwell Mahama's soft spoken widow hinted that she's not quite completely forgiven her husband's killers just yet, not that anyone could actually ever expect her to do so.

She revealed that she still gets upsets sometimes when she thinks about the savagery, and inhumane treatment her husband suffered under at the hands of his killers.

“It is difficult and I don’t think it would ease soon. As Christians we have hope that when our loved ones die, they die in Christ. Anger is part of the healing process. It is natural to be angry about a lot of things including those who did so once a while I get angry,” she said.

Directly commenting on whether she'd actually forgiven her husband's murderers, Mrs. Barbara Mahama stated that she hasn't thought of the idea.

Major Maxwell Mahama was brutally murdered on May 29th, 2017, by residents of Denkyira Obuasi when some residents allegedly mistook him for an armed robber when he was allegedly spotted on his morning jog. He was the leader of an anti-galamsey platoon deployed in the area.
