The arrival of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, will not be open to the public, 3news.com has gathered.
Dr Bawumia will arrive from the United Kingdom on Thursday night after a 12-day medical leave.
He had been flown to London upon his doctors’ advice on Friday, January 19.
Minister of Information Mustapha Hamid had adduced that flying the vice president to London’s Guy Hospital was to prevent so many visitations from sympathisers.
There was political debate about the state of health of Dr Bawumia with the Minority in Parliament and some pressure groups demanding full disclosure on his health.
But the Vice President was spotted on the streets of London – with his wife Samira – hale and hearty.
His arrival was confirmed by the Presidency on Thursday.
But he is expected to be met by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters had planned to throng the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) to join the first family to welcome Dr Bawumia and his wife.
But most of them have been asked not to be at the Airport, 3news.com gathers.
Even some media houses that have planned to cover the arrival live have been given strict directions as to how to go about it.
