Two-time vice presidential candidate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has been approved as the Chairman of the party’s newly created Electoral Reforms Committee.
The former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, who is billed to be Running Mate to Flag-bearer Nana Akufo-Addo for the third consecutive time, will be working with six members on the Committee, including former party Chairman Peter Mac Manu and former Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Prof Mike Ocquaye.
The party, in a statement announcing the new appointments, also said former Deputy Minister of the Interior, Nana Obiri Boahen, is now the Deputy General Secretary.

At its meeting on Thursday 13th November 2014, the National Executive Committee, in consultation with the National Council, made the following appointments:
