Bawumia must get serious and stop the 'propaganda attitude' - Fred Agbenyo

“We are no longer in the campaign season, the election is over. Now it’s time to rule the nation with seriousness. When they [NPP] were in opposition, Dr Bawumia [now vice Prez] will always lambast the government and created the impression that he understood everything” - Fred Agbenyo.

According to the Deputy National Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], all claims by Dr. Bawumia are “untrue”.

Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia last week alleged that ex-President John Dramani Mahama before leaving office approved a $13.9 million budget to rebuild an official residence for the Vice President.

But Fred Agbenyo on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed 'Ghana Montie' noted that the figure made public by the vice president was inaccurate.

“I am only putting on record that the NDC government under President John Mahama did not approve of 13.9 million dollars to be used to put up the Vice President’s accommodation, hence the allegation is not true. The Vice President must provide credible evidence and stop the propaganda behaviour,” he told host Kwesi Aboagye.

Mr Agbenyo urged the Vice President to consult the Ministry of Finance, the Governor of Bank of Ghana, and all other financial institutions to clarify his allegations – “Former President Mahama does not determine the price of buildings in this country.”
