Majority Leader in Parliament, who doubles as the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu says, it’s ‘Okay’ for the Minority in parliament to be abreast with the health status of the second gentleman of the land, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He lauded the minority's concern to seek further clarification on Bawumia’s health and said the government will at the appropriate time make available details to the August House.

His comment comes after the Minority Leader in Parliament, Haruna Iddrisu called for more clarity from the Presidency with respect to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s fitness.

Speaking on the Floor of Parliament on Sunday, he criticized the government over its communication of what he described as a “sensitive matter.”

Dr. Bawumia left Ghana for the United Kingdom on Friday night on medical leave after the Presidency indicated that he had taken ill earlier in the day and was undergoing medical checks.

Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu who was speaking on Neat FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’ noted that, ‘the NDC will get what they refused to give’.

He explained that “When the NPP then in opposition was seeking details of former late President John Atta Mills’ medical report and what led to his death, they never gave it out. Why are they still keeping the report of Mills death?”
