A spokesperson for New Patriotic Party(NPP) 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Fiifi Boafo, has, in an exclusive interview on Wontumi Radio, lauded Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s approach as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate.

Fiifi Boafo, during the one-on-one interview, underscored Bawumia’s unique ability to connect with the grassroots supporters who form the backbone of the NPP’s success.

“Dr. Bawumia isn’t just interested in the big picture,” Boafo noted, “he makes it a priority to listen to the everyday concerns of the grassroots supporters. This is what truly sets him apart and strengthens the foundation of the NPP.”

Boafo went on to explain that this personal engagement is far from a political strategy; instead, it reflects Bawumia’s sincere interest in solving real issues that affect the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. “He doesn’t just listen,” he added, “he acts, and that’s why people are willing to stand by him.”

This perspective sheds light on Bawumia’s political rise within the NPP. Known initially as an economist with a strong technical background, Bawumia’s consistent engagement with local supporters over the years has broadened his appeal.

He’s become known not only for his expertise but also for his genuine attentiveness to the needs of his supporters, something that many within the party view as vital for unity ahead of the 2024 elections.

Boafo further illustrated the impact of Bawumia’s approach, describing how his connection with the grassroots has inspired many supporters to actively participate in the NPP’s goals.

“It’s rare to see someone at his level so grounded and so involved with the people,” Boafo emphasized. “It’s no wonder people are willing to go the extra mile to support his presidential ambitions.”
