Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Vice Presidential Candidate, has praised Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s bold solutions for the mining sector, describing them as a "game-changer" that could transform the industry.

Addressing chiefs and residents of key mining communities in Numereso and Tweapease, located in the Odotobri Constituency of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that the NPP remains committed to managing Ghana’s mineral resources for the benefit of the people and the nation's economic growth while safeguarding the environment.

During his campaign tour, Dr. Opoku Prempeh noted that the people of Numereso and Tweapease appreciate the development progress made under the current administration.

He urged them to support a future Bawumia-led government, which, he said, would bring further advancements.

He reiterated that Bawumia's presidency would create an enabling environment for community mining schemes, formalizing and regulating small-scale mining in an environmentally sustainable way.

Reflecting on the NPP's record, especially in supporting cocoa farmers, Dr. Opoku Prempeh stressed that voting for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would ensure continued improvements in the lives of the people.

He further urged constituents to back NPP's Parliamentary Candidate, Anthony Mmieh in the upcoming elections, believing his leadership will further drive local progress.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh also addressed pressing issues in the community, particularly challenges related to poor road infrastructure and network connectivity.

He assured the residents that the government is aware of these concerns and is working towards resolving them.
