Legal practitioner and senior lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr. Dickson Osei Asibey, has said that the housing policy by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for all Ghanaians is feasible.

According to Dr. Osei Asibey, the Ghana card introduced by Dr. Bawumia protects everyone and can help identify everyone. Hence, Ghanaians can use the Ghana card to take loans to build or buy their houses.

He further stated that people with farms and other properties can use their Ghana card to take bank mortgages.

According to the legal practitioner, Dr. Bawumia’s housing policy will be flexible for all Ghanaians to acquire.

“If you have any property, all you have to do is present it as evidence and collateral for the loan you want to take. This will make you get the loan faster. If the whites are doing it, I don’t see how we can’t do it either,” he disclosed.

The senior lecturer stated that the only factor preventing Ghanaians from obtaining mortgages was identity.

“Now the Ghana card has made it easier. This card introduced by Dr. Bawumia will help take these steps easily. If it is feasible abroad, then it is feasible in Ghana,” he explained.
