The possibility mantra of the Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has been hailed as an inspiration to the youth of the country.
Dr. Bawumia has chosen the can-do slogan, "It is possible," to drive his presidential campaign. Throughout his role as Vice President, Bawumia has repeatedly emphasized the ability of Ghanaians and the nation to attain heights normally associated with the developed world, with a firm belief in possibility.
Addressing students of the University of Ghana on Friday, during a book review and reading of "Dr. Bawumia and the Modern Vice Presidency," authored by Prof. Etse Sikanku, Pastor Alexander King Doku of the Pursuit and Service to God Ministries expressed admiration for Dr. Bawumia, especially his "possibility mindset," which he said is inspiring to the youth of the country, as well as his "modern and technology-focused" vision for the country, which he said the nation needs to transform.
"Young people in Ghana have to build a certain mindset and Bawumia represents that mindset. That is a mindset of possibilities, which is important for every young person in Ghana," the Pastor said.
"No matter where you are and no matter where you are from, you should believe that it is possible to achieve your dreams with hard work and the right attitude. For the young people, Bawumia represents an inspiration for every young man because he is hardworking."
"He would not be here if he was not hardworking. He has shown that wherever he has worked. From the Bank of Ghana to running mate to Vice President and now Flagbearer, he has shown hard work."
The pastor also expressed belief in Bawumia’s leadership and vision for the country, adding that having followed the Ghanaian political terrain for some time and speaking 'honestly as a Pastor', he was convinced Bawumia has what it takes to transform the country and God will use him for that.
"Dr. Bawumia is very innovative and where the world is going, a digitalised and modernised Ghanaian society is what will transform the Ghanaian society and move the country forward. This is what he believes in."
"I see Bawumia as a vessel that God is going to use to transform this nation."
"All these things I am saying are my personal testimonies, having observed for some time. I am a pastor and I am very sincere and honest about what I have observed about Bawumia. I believe strongly he has what it takes to move Ghana forward. I believe he is the one Ghanaians should support to be our next leader."
