The Walewale Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Abubakari Abdallah, has described the watermelon factory being constructed by the NPP government at Walewale as an empty container.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration is a deceptive government that only campaigns on fake promises to woo Ghanaians to vote for them.

He indicated that the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a son of the North East region, supervised the sod cutting of the Pwalugu multipurpose dam, which he described as another scam by the NPP government.

“My own brother Dr. Bawumia convinced the Nayiri to attend the sod cutting of the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam, and for several years now, nothing can be seen at the site.”

The Walewale Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that $12 million of the Pwalugu multipurpose dam funds have been shared among themselves at the expense of the ordinary Ghanaian.

Addressing party supporters in Tamale at the NDC campaign launch, Alhaji Abdallah said the dualisation of the Walewale-Tamale road, which Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia supervised for the sod cutting, has been abandoned, and the contractor has moved off-site.

He urged Ghanaians not to trust the NPP government and appealed to them to vote the NDC back into power to rescue the country from the incompetent Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.
