Be cautious in your merry making - Nene Attiapa

Nene Kanor Attiapa, Acting President of the Ningo Traditional Area, has called on Ghanaians to be cautious in their merry making activities during the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Avoid too much alcohol and reckless behaviours because you are needed for nation building, he said.

Nene Attiapa said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Ningo in the Greater Accra Region.

He said the citizens should use the occasion to attend to religious activities instead of involving themselves in unnecessary behaviors that could lead them into trouble.

“Spend the little you have with your family, thank the Almighty God and pray for His blessings as He ushers us into the New Year,” he said.

Nene Attiapa called pastors to end their habit of preaching against the cultural heritage and traditions of the people, saying that the country’s traditions are not evils but also contribute to the spiritual wellbeing of the nation.

He advised the youth to be hard working and desist from the practice of occultism or “Sakawa” as this would ruin their future.

He wished the people long life and a prosperous New Year.
