His Royal Highness, Nii Kwade Okropong I, Absese LA-Adonten Mantse, has urged fellow chiefs to exercise due diligence on issues pertaining to chieftaincy matters in the La Traditional Area.

He urged them to respect the rule of law, follow due processes, and be transparent and fair in dealing with the people at all times, adding that as chiefs it is their duty to promote unity, peace, and togetherness in the interest of the development of La.

He called on them not to engage in any activities that would bring division and retrogression in the La Traditional Area, as well as do things that would tarnish the hard-won reputation of the chieftaincy institution.

The Abese La-Adonten Mantse made this known during the durbar of chiefs to climax this year's La Homowo.

Nii Kwade Okropong, in his Homowo message, called for unity, inclusivity, and progress among the leadership in La communities.

"As we celebrate Homowo, I wish to emphasize the importance of unity and inclusivity; our diversity is our strength, and together, we can achieve greatness," he said.

Outlining his vision to propel the community forward, Nii Kwade Okropong I revealed that he will focus on youth empowerment and functional education with flexible pathways for experts in medicine and engineering, among others.

According to him, he will create conducive learning environments for all and support research, conducting baseline and needs assessment research for interventional programmes, targeting support for school dropouts, the destitute, drug addicts, orphans, and vulnerable groups.

On economic empowerment, Nii Kwade Okropong I stated that he would create jobs through skill training and job brigades to enhance employment for the teeming unemployed youth.

He said training and capacity building will be held for traditional leaders to strengthen Weku Shiai, Asafoiatsɛmɛi, Asafoianyɛmɛi, Wulɔmɛi, and Wɔyei.

He further called on all to forge ahead in unity and work together towards a brighter future and prayed that their ancestors guide them as they strive for progress and prosperity.
