Atwima-Koforidua (Ash), Aug 16, GNA-The Reverend George N. Amoah, Assistant Headmaster of Osei Tutu Secondary School, has told Christians to be fearless and uncompromising in pointing out wrongs within the Church.
He said it was the only way that the Church would be kept on focus, continue to be relevant and offer real hope for mankind. The Rev Amoah was preaching at the fifth anniversary of the Zion Methodist Men's Fellowship at Atwima-Koforidua on Sunday on the theme,"I Have Come To Bring Fire". He said, "we cannot become good examples to the rest of society, if we fail to overcome hypocrisy and pretensions to put our own house in order".
Rev Amoah advised them to uphold the truth regardless of how bitter the consequence might be.
The Kumasi Diocesan Chairman of the Fellowship, Mr George Omane, asked Christian parents to take time off at least once every week to share Christ-centred teachings with their children.
He said through that they would succeed in bringing them up on strong Christian principles and protect them from going wayward.
"Let us as fathers accept to ensure real peace and sanity in our homes to stop the growing indiscipline among the present generation of youth".
A 12-member executive of the fellowship chaired by Mr Anthony Buachie Darkwah was inducted into office for a one-year term. 16 Aug 04
