Be true representatives of God - Primate Adofo

Kumasi, March 21, GNA - A five-day International Pastoral Conference on Eevangelism and Nation Building has ended in Kumasi with a call on Pastors to serve as true representatives of God. Primate Seth Adofo, Spiritual Leader of the Brotherhood Church, said they should lead upright lives and accept to make the needed sacrifices to uphold the Gospel.

More than 300 participants from the United States (US), Ghana and Togo attended the meeting organized by the Brotherhood Church. Primate Adofo said people would come to believe in God not only through the large congregation they saw or miracles performed by Pastors but when the Church was Bible-based.

"The scriptures should be the final belief and not the size of the church".

Primate Adofo acknowledged that the task ahead was challenging but said through prayers and faith in God they would succeed in winning more souls for Christ. He said as church leaders they should focus on helping to strengthen the weaker branches of the Church and endeavour to plant new ones and counseled them to regularly read the Bible and to lead Christ-like-life. He also asked that they should be patriotic and help the people to appreciate the need to put the general good of society ahead of personal interests.

Primate Adofo used the occasion to appeal to all Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliation to support the Government in its effort to develop the nation. "Criticisms should be constructive", he said. He also urged Christians to pray for the political Leadership and to pay their taxes, adding, "we are planning and praying to build the country and, therefore, all hands should be on deck". 21 March 10
