Central regional executives of the National Democratic Party (NDP) have cautioned former president Rawlings to be careful of some people in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) .

The regional chairman Samuel F.K Amo, the first vice chairman Franklin Sam and the Communications Director were of the view that some NDC members, who have no regard for the prime values of the June 4 celebrations were behind it cancellation as a national holiday.

They further alleged that the unnamed NDC executives were charlatans who have malevolent motives hence the ex-president ought to be careful.

They are therefore wondering if the former president had soon forgotten what he and his wife went through when the NDC assumed the reins of government in 2008 and 2012 respectively.

The statement then went on to specifically indicate that former president John Mahama was the sole reason why about five hundred members of the NDP were unable to travel to Wa to participate in this year’s June 4 event.

In their opinion, ex-president Mahama, during his time as president, exhibited total disrespect towards former president Rawlings.

To them, Rawlings, though the founder of the NDC, was totally relegated to the background during the Mahama administration, They concluded by saying that the three pillars on which the NDC was founded – probity, accountability and social justice were missing during Mahama’s term as president, giving way to corruption, greed and social injustice.
