Ben Ephson's agenda for NPP screws him up always - Gabby

It is yet to be known whether the New Patriotic Party would retain their 2012 flagbearer or mount search for a new leader as they prepare for congress to elect their national executive members and flagbearer for the 2016 elections.

This development has, however, not stopped certain social commentators, notably Ben Ephson of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, from pouring in suggestions based on the research he has conducted.

Some ardent leaders within the party have vowed to do all they can to retain Nana Akufo-Addo whilst some have strongly disagreed with those making the assertion.

Those who disagree have argued that the NPP was formed on the principles of democracy and for this reason, room should be created for the delegates to elect a suitable candidate they believe can lead the party in future elections.

Many are those who see this as a threat of replay of having as many as eighteen aspirants gunning for the NPP’s flagbearership slot.

Ben Ephson is one person on record to have predicted that his findings showed about fifteen aspirants might scramble for the position.

Although, Mr. Ephson later moved away from his own prediction and stated that he believes the numbers might scale down because of the NPP’s constitution, a member of the party wonders where the renowned pollster gets his figures from.

Gabby Asare Otchere Darko, a staunch member of the NPP noted on Joy FM that it is about time someone told Mr. Ephson that he could no longer sit in his armchair and decide for the NPP.

He explains that anytime the editor for the Daily Dispatch sets his own agenda with an intent to cause confusion within the NPP, he gets knocked out of the way by receiving the opposite of what he expects.

According to Mr. Otchere Darko a clear example is that “the fifteen names that he (Mr. Ephson) came up with, all of them have come out to say they aren’t interested in the flagbearership position”.
