Beneficiaries of Oppong Nkrumah’s scholarship promise to make their community proud

Beneficiaries of the Oppong Nkrumah education and skills development fund (ONesdev) have promised to keep up the good work in school to make their Member of Parliament and entire community proud.

The initiative of Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is to help the less privileged in his constituency get the best of education without worry about finance.

The scholarship which was launched over the weekend at Akim Ofoase in the Eastern Region saw 200 students of Senior High School, University, Nursing and Teacher training becoming the first batch of beneficiaries.

The District Chief Executive of Akyemansa, Paul Asamoah and the District Director of Education, Elizabeth Amanor admonished beneficiaries of the scholarship to make good use of it so they can succeed and develop their community.

115 students from SHS 2 and 3, 36 University students with the others being Nursing and Teacher Training students were awarded the scholarships which will see their fees catered for till the complete school as long as they keep up a good behaviour and make good grades.

The students who were excited about the opportunity given them thanked the MP for the initiative and promised to continue doing their best in school. They also advised other students who hope to benefit from the scholarship to give off their best and stay hopeful.



Parents of beneficiaries who were equally excited promised to keep their wards in check so his efforts don't end up being in vain.



Kojo Oppong Nkrumah urged the beneficiaries to keep up the good grades and behaviour so they can enjoy the scholarship till they complete their studies.
