The youth of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekkwai Municipality in the Western Region have applauded Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng, the former CEO of BOST and the Patron of Friends of Approachers for the Christmas gift and the numerous donations towards the development of the area.
According to them the package alone speaks well about Mr Obeng and one could hear saying among themselves "this man is more civilised and has respect for us".
Speaking during the donation, Mr. Obeng encouraged them to continue supporting the creation of the Western North Region because of its numerous advantages including development in the area.
He told them that early this year he bought the Western North Secretariat a brand new Nissan Hardbody Pickup and cash to facilitate their activities at the time when things were hard.
"I have no doubt about getting the required votes of 50% turn out and 80% out of the turn out voting Yes due to the effective campaign and preparation". Mr. Obeng stressed.
He told them that farming is the main occupation in the area and the system of farming being practised here currently which is subsistence farming is not adequate to give us sufficient income.
It is for this reason among others that he had visited farmers in South Africa, Indonesia and Malaysia twice this year to discuss the best way forward.
To him commercial farming is a business but subsistence farming is not and therefore his focus is to guide and support them through investors with the needed technology, tools and the market for their farm produce.
He revealed that one of the investors will soon set up a factory in the area to process Soya Bean into poultry feed supplement and this will require commercial cultivation of soya bean.
Because of the recent security threats in the area and beyond, Mr. Obeng had acquired three brand new Nissan Hardbody Pickups for the Police Commands in the area.
The beneficiaries are Bibiani, Sefwi Bekwai and Sefwi Wiawso.
The donation will be done in a grand durbar at Sefwi Bekwai on 31st December 2018 at 10 am prompt.
He concluded by advising the youth to ignore anybody who attacks him (Mr Obeng) personally and continue praying that one day there will be a visionary leader capable of getting the community out of poverty.
"Nonetheless all constructive criticisms are welcome": Mr Obeng Boateng added.
