The 24-hour economy was the flagship economic promise made by John Dramani Mahama in the lead-up to the 2024 general election.

Following his victory, conversations have commenced on the implementation of the policy, which many view as a solution to Ghana's high unemployment headache.

On this edition of BizTech, the Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, took his turn to provide more details on the feasibility of the project and whether it is indeed the panacea to Ghana's economic challenges.

He stated that the 24-hour economy policy is the best way to reset the country.

According to him, the 24-hour economy policy, when implemented, will address the high unemployment rate by creating numerous jobs under a three-shift system.

Besides this, he spoke about the numerous taxes crippling many industries in Ghana and how this problem can be solved.

This week's BizTech was hosted by Ernestina Serwaa Asante.
