In recent years, Black Friday has become increasingly popular among Ghanaians. Typically, more people shop for Christmas gifts in December.
However, some stores have noticed a rise in sales in November instead.
The rise in online shopping and the abundance of advertisements and promotions on social media have made Black Friday the new trend.
Checks by GhanaWeb Business at some shops on November 28, 2024, revealed that customers were excited to shop for their favorite items at discounted prices.
A visit to an electronics store in East Legon showed a long line of people eager to make purchases.
Others who had already made their purchases were seen loading their vehicles with their goods.
Some shoppers speaking with GhanaWeb Business mentioned that they had been eagerly awaiting this opportunity to buy items at lower prices, given the current state of the economy.
Black Friday is a global sales event that offers customers discounts on a variety of items.
