Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo was involved in an accident on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road.

Otto Addo along with his technical team members including assistant coach John Paintsil, and goalkeeper's trainer Fatawu Dadua escaped the near-fatal car crash on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

The trio was on their way back to Accra after watching the Champions of Champions game between Premier League winner Samartex and Nsoatreman FC on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, none of the technical team members were hurt; however, John Paintsil complained about feeling pain in some parts of his body.

The Otto Addo-led technical team is expected to receive medical attention before they begin work ahead of Ghana's AFCON qualifiers against Angola.

The Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before visiting Niger on September 9.
