Bolgatanga NPP Congratulates Constituency NDC.

Bolgatanga, Nov 2, GNA - The Bolgatanga Central Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday congratulated the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for holding a peaceful Constituency congress. Mr. Jorome Abongo, Bolgatanga Constituency Secretary of the NPP, made the commendation in a solidarity message at an NDC congress to elect officers for the party.

Mr. Abongo said a democracy without an opposition was not worth it and noted that the two parties were not enemies but only different in the approach to governance.

He urged the two parties to use dialogue in resolving their differences rather than resort to violence as that would not augur well for development.

Madam Hilda Ndoo Nyaaba (alias Madam Bolco) National Vice Chairperson of the NDC, said the Northern Peoples Party, which gave birth to the New Patriotic Party neglected the North and its people and urged them to vote out that party come 2008. Mr Epsona Ayamga was returned Constituency Chairman unopposed and Mr. Roland Atengabono stepped down for Mr. Roland Ayoo in the race for Secretary. Mr. Philip Aboore beat Billy by 162 votes to 71 to take the post organiser.
