The former Chairperson of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Samia Yaba Nkrumah has stated that, for the country to attain its goals, there will be the need for those in power to think beyond party politics.

She indicated while interacting on TV3 that, “Sometimes you can go beyond it. You want to achieve a certain aim, you want a certain vision, you want certain policies, you want certain direction for your country; you can have it in different ways. It doesn’t necessarily have to be through party A, B or C. What is important I think is the people, popular determination must be felt.”

The daughter of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first President has urged the country to revisit the seven year development plan of her father for the country.

She further stated that, the country needs to break away from the shackles of party politics in order to develop.
