Broadspectrum Limited has initiated a five-day training program aimed at empowering Enterprise Support Organizations (ESOs) with digital tools.

Under the theme "Agritech in Ghana: Supporting Agribusiness Growth through Enterprise Support Organizations."

The program is funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB), which aims to revolutionize Ghana's agricultural sector by integrating digital technologies.

The first phase of the training is taking place in the southern region of Ghana, with a subsequent session scheduled for the northern part. This strategic division ensures broad geographical coverage and accessibility for participants across the nation.

Samuel Osew-Kwatia, Group Chief Finance Officer of Broadspectrum Limited, emphasized the program's objective: "The objective is to strengthen the capacities of ESOs to support the digitization of agricultural entrepreneurs and startups in Ghana.

“By training all ESOs in the Agri-value chain on how to use technology, we aim to drive various interventions more effectively."

The training will cover essential topics such as leveraging existing marketplaces on digital platforms, improving agricultural practices through technology, and utilizing digital tools to enhance overall efficiency.

Participants will also learn about climate adaptation and mitigation, digital literacy, digital marketing, financial literacy, and business management.

Castro Antwi-Danso, General Manager of Agro Spectrum, a subsidiary of Broadspectrum Limited, highlighted the comprehensive nature of the program: "The whole project is supposed to enhance the capacity of enterprise support organizations within the agricultural value chain, including producers, aggregators, out-growers, and incubators. The idea is to build their capacities in several aspects."
