Brong Ahafo Citizens Convention In Toronto

Citizens and friends of Brong Ahafo region residing in Canada and the United States will be converging in Toronto, Canada on May 29 and 30, 2010 for their 1st ever convention in North America. The two-day event includes dinner/dance on May 29 and a barbeque on-the-park on May 30th. The event is being organized by the Council of Brong Ahafo Associations of North America (COBAANA)

The theme for the occasion is Unity and Development. The objective is to mobilize the citizens and friends of Brong Ahafo residents in North America and utilize such unity towards supporting the development of the region. The event will take place at DREAMS CONVENTION CENTRE in Brampton, Ontario.

Special guests include the current President of the Brong Ahafo House of Chiefs, Nana Osahene Kwaku Aterkyi II Omanhene of Kukuom Traditional area, the Regional Minister; Hon. Nyamekye Marfo and the President of Brong Ahafo Queen Mothers Association, Nana Abenaa Boatemaa, Queen Mother of Domase I. Several delegates will be arriving from major cities in the USA and Canada for the event.
