Bryan Acheampong cuts sod for construction of 8km Abetifi town roads

The Member of Parliament representing the people of Abetifi, Hon. Bryan Acheampong on Friday, 24th January 2020 cut sod for the construction of Abetifi town roads in the Eastern Region.

The 8 kilometer road will link more than 10 communities to the Abetifi township.

The roads which had been in deplorable state for a very long time is expected to be completed before end of year.

Hon. Bryan Acheampong disclosed this at Abetifi during the sod cutting ceremony.

Mr. Acheampong thanked the president for fulfilling his promise during the sod cutting ceremony.

“Roads make a crucial contribution to economic development, growth and bring important social benefits. In order to make a nation grow and develop, roads are of vital status. For these reasons, road infrastructure is one of the most important of all public assets."

The MP said, roads open up more areas and stimulate economic and social development.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has tagged the year 2020 as the “Year of Roads.”

According to him, his government is embarking on an aggressive road development across the country this year.

Overjoyed inhabitants of Kwahu Abetifi and it’s neighboring communities hailed the Member of Parliament, Hon. Bryan Acheampong and thanked him for his lobbying skills and hardwork, saying at long last, “the dust inhaling regime is over”

The sod cutting ceremony was graced by the District Chief Executive, the Chief of Abetifi, Nananom, Opinion leaders, Presiding Members of the District Assembly among others.
