Bryan Acheampong’s boy supports Trotor orphanage home

Nathan Marfo Gyasi, the special aide to the Minister of State In charge of National Security, Bryan Acheampong has donated some items to the Baptist School Complex (BASCO), an orphanage home at Trotor, in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The items include; bags of rice, cooking oil and assorted drinks with an undisclosed amount.

Nathan Gyasi during the presentation called on Ghanaians to develop the interest in adopting children who by no fault of theirs have been rendered homeless.

He explained that such children have always found themselves in orphanages where they do not have any affinity with their biological parents and are left in the mercies of caregivers.

’’Adopting such children who are now destitute into their homes and nurturing them to become responsible citizens, were what a good citizen could do, to complement his or her good works for the country’’ he said.

Rev. Emmanuel Sakyi, the Assistant Director of BASCO who received the donation express gratitude to Nathan for his kind gesture.

He called on the government to include all accredited Orphanage Homes across the country unto the National School Feeding Program so that it would remove the burden on the management of the orphan’s caretakers.

He explained that since the children in the orphanage homes don’t always get help from donors, they are appealing to the central Government to benefits from its interventions.

He expressed that, currently the Orphanage homes are not receiving support from outside unless occasions, added that, due to that, it sometimes becomes a challenge for the management to provide the needs of the inmates.

He also appealed to other benevolent institutions and philanthropists to comes to their aid, added that the items would help save the home from making extra expenses on food.
