Controversial Ghanian influencer, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly called A–Plus has heavily slammed President Akufo-Addo and his government for soliciting funds towards the building of a National Cathedral.

A-Plus then continued to tag NPP members as hypocrites, saying that if it were former President John Mahama who had wanted to build the Cathedral, the same people would have complained.

“NPP people are not thinking. We don’t have schools, we don’t have hospitals but the president wants to build a church for Jesus Christ to come and stay inside.” he exclusively told Justice Kweku Annan on ‘Medo’ Ghana on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7

He added that instead of people to put pressure on the government to deliver his campaign promises to Ghanaians, they are rather quiet and allowing the government to take up decisions that won’t help or benefit the nation.

The issue of building a National Cathedral has been a topic that most Ghanaians have spoken against insisting it is a waste of money. But some popular men of God have backed the government and President Nana Akufo Addo for taking a giant step to build the Cathedral.

President Akufo-Addo has proposed a partnership between the State and the Ghanaian Christian community both at home and in the Diaspora which will raise funds for the controversial project.
