Mr Woyongo said the area would be a beneficiary of the Sisile Irrigation Scheme to encourage dry season gardening and ultimately reduce poverty.

He appealed to the chiefs and people to participate in the biometric registration process, which would commence this month.

He cautioning them to discourage and expose foreigners who would come into the country to register and subsequently vote in the December polls.

Mr Woyongo reiterated government’s commitment to ensure free and fair elections devoid of acrimony and violence.

He called for reconciliation and unity among National Democratic Congress party faithful.
