A staff member of the Builsa South District Assembly, Saaed Mohammed, has been hospitalised after he was assaulted.

The assembly staff is accusing District Chief Executive Daniel Kwame Gariba, who is also the parliamentary candidate for the NPP in the constituency.

He was issued with a police medical form to go to the hospital, and per the report endorsed by the medical doctor, Saeed Mohammed suffered severe headaches, bleeding from his nostrils, neck pain, and lip laceration.

The report indicated that the victim was assaulted following a misunderstanding between him and his attackers at the District Assembly.

Saeed Mohammed also alleged that he was given blows and knocked severally in the forehead, leading to the complaints.

The medical report added that the victim also suffered brain trauma on the left part of his neck.
