Buipewura mediation committee set final roadmap to end Bole Chieftaincy disputes

The Five (5) member Committee of eminent Gonja Chiefs put together by the President of the Gonja Traditional Council, Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa (I) to resolve all Chieftaincy disputes in the Gonja Kingdom has held a meeting at Busunu in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region on Saturday 6th June, 2020 to set a final road map to end the Chieftaincy matter in the Bole Traditional area.

The Committee under the Chairmanship of Buipewura Abudulai Jinapor (II) invited legal experts and consultants who gave some legal advice as well as steps to the peaceful resolution of Chieftaincy conflicts.

In his concluding remarks after the advice of the legal experts and consultants, the Chairman of the Committee Buipewura said they brought the neural legal experts (non-Gonjas) so as to prevent accusations on how they are dealing with the Bole Chieftaincy issues especially on the issue of the Mandari skin that was settled by the Judicial Committee of the Northern Regional House of Chiefs.

Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi FM shortly after the meeting of the Eminent Chiefs and Bole people, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Buipewura Jinapor (II) Abubakari Abdul- Samed popularly called Prince Gbanso Busunu said the committee met selected members of the three gates of Bole Traditional area that is Safope, Jagape and Denkeripe, as well as the traditional people in the Bole Traditional area like the Nsua, the Sakpari’s and others and they, had very fruitful celebrations that will lead to a final decision on how to unite all the Chieftaincy factions in Bole.

He said members of the Committee comprising the Buipewura (Chairman), Kpembewura, Kongwura, Kusawguwura Kunkarga and Kpipkandewura will forward the findings of the legal experts and consultants to the Yagbonwura’s Palace after which a date will be chosen for a final decision to be taken on the Bole Chieftaincy matter.
