Bureau for Internal Affairs lauds Supreme Court Judges

The Bureau for Internal Affairs (BIA), an anti-corruption organisation, has commended the Judges of the Supreme Court for the excellent manner they have managed the election petition so far.

“Every stage of the election petition [hearing] from the initial application to the addresses has demonstrated the esteemable character and mark of our Supreme Court Judges so far,” Mr Mohammed Frimpong, Executive Secretary of BIA said.

A statement issued by the Bureau said: “We join the nation in peace exhortation and reliance on the wisdom of our Supreme Court Judges as the only foundation of a fair and just verdict.”

The statement said it is counting on the wise judgement of the Supreme Court Judges on August 29, when they are expected to give the ruling on the election petition.

It said in the evolution of the hearing, the Supreme Court Judges have demonstrated a judicious use of State power by flexing their muscles in dealing appropriately with contempt.
