The Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) is asking government to investigate and sanction officials of the Metro Mass Transit Company who were involved in the scandalous Ghc3.6 million bus rebranding saga.

According to the GII, it is unfair for only the Transport minister to take fall for the scandal.

Transport Minister Dzifa Attivor has resigned in the wake of the scandal. The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah who ordered a probe into the contract which was undertaken by Smarttys productions, has directed the Attorney general to retrieve GHC1.9 million "excess payment" from the company.

Commenting on the development, the Programs manager for the GII Mary Adda told Starr News the President must use the opportunity to show his commitment towards the fight against corruption.

“The President must use this as an example of his commitment in the fight against corruption.

“There are other people who are in charge, particularly the MMT, there are people there who are in charge (I hear the contract went through the MMT) and for that matter people there who did not do their work well must also give us answers,” she said.
