Bush fire has been established as the cause of fire at LK International Company Limited at Gumani a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis in the Northern Region, leading the destruction of over 45 trucks that had been assembled ready for market.

The former Motor King Company limited had other spare parts of trucks estimated at hundreds of thousands of Ghana Cedis also destroyed.

Manager of the Company, Jack Ke told newsmen that they were busy at the workshop when one staff raised an alarm that there was fire burning from the fence wall towards one of the stires.

“We immediately called the fire service personnel and by the time they arrived the fire engulfed the whole structure. More than 45 trucks had already been assembled but several containers of tyres and other materials have all been burnt”, he disclosed.

Another staff of the company who conducted firemen round the burnt facility after they managed to bring the inferno under control after several hours of fighting, indicated that some unscrupulous persons are believed to have set fire on the surrounding bushes which eventually burnt a tree before getting into the structure.

No causality has been recorded but managers of the company disclosed that the fire outbreak will affect its operations in the next couple of months.
