55 year old trader Daniel Narh a resident of Ashaiman, has denied ever conniving with the Ashaiman Municipal Asssembly (ASHMA) to forcefully claim a land from one Mary Otubuah also a trader in the municipality.

According to him the said land at Tsinaagbe a suburb of Ashaiman was legally acquired by him from the rightful owner who is in the person of madam Rebecca Martey a 76 years old Widow.

It would be recalled that in June this year a 56 year old trader at Ashaiman Mary Otubuah accused the Ashaiman municipal assembly and that of the said businessman Daniel Narh of conniving to take away her land.

According to her, part of the land which was acquired and bequeathed to her by her late husband, has since been developed on by the said businessman with the aid of the assembly and that of the Ashaiman police command as well as some corrupt officials at the Tema Development Corporation (TDC).

However the accused business man, Daniel Narh has described the allegations leveled against him as misleading and baseless. Speaking in an interview, Daniel Narh claimed the land which is measured by 50'×50' was duely acquired by one Marku Narh of blessed memory who then bequeathed it to her daughter Rebecca Martey, before he legally acquired it from the later.

Producing documented evidence to back his claim, Daniel Narh said his accuser, Mary Otubuah lied to the press when she claimed, he has encroached and develop on her land. According to him, a memo issued by TDC, owners of the land in August 2017 upon the request of the Ashaiman police command following legal wrangling on the said land, proved that his accuser Mary Otubuah was the one who had rather encroached on part of his land, since she has crossed her boundary of 50'×50' and developing into a reach of 73'×50'

Daniel Narh further added that his accuser Mary Otubuah failed in two legal attempts to stop him from developing on his land after the court found out she has no legal backing to her claims. He said despite several attempts to resolve the issue amicably with madam Otubuah it has proven futile .

Confirming Mr Daniel Narh as the rightful owner of the land, 75 year old widow, Rebecca Martey whose late mother owned the said piece of land, accused Mary Otubuah of forgery and spewing out lies just to cut the sympathy of the public, even though she knows clearly that the land does not belong to her. Madam Rebecca Martey provided receipts of land permit dating back as far as 1975 which proved that the said land belonged to her late mother.

Meanwhile checks at the Tema Development Corporation TDC has proved that the said land being developed on by Mr Daniel Narh does belong to him(the late Marku Narh Family) and not that of Madam Mary Otubuah. A site plan issued by TDC showed that the land being developed upon by Mr Daniel Narh is currently 23'×50' since a recent road expansion took almost 27' of the land.

TDC also provided copies of permit issued out to Mr Narh to develop on the said land since they were convinced beyond reasonable doubts that the land in question belonged to the late Marku Narh whose daughter has since sold it out to Mr Daniel Narh.
