The Christ Apostolic Church International, Bantama Central Assembly has donated assorted items worth GHc25,000 to Kumasi Children’s Home, Remer Ghana, and Ashanti Bekwai Destitute Infirmary.

Items such as rice, maize, cooking oil, water, kalypo, tin tomatoes, milk, washing powder, soap, toilet roll, sardine and soft drinks were presented to these institutions during the climax of their annual 40 Days Fasting and Prayers at Bantama.

The Church also donated 35 bales of different clothes to the Internal Missions Department of the church during the same ceremony.

In his address to the recipients and the congregation, the local Pastor, Apostle Samuel Cosmos Kojo Akomeah stated that after fasting and prayers, God requires us to give to the vulnerable by feeding and clothing them.

This, he stated was not a spiritual matter but physical and practical thing to be carried out.

Apostle Akomeah was of the view that persons in such homes did nothing wrong to deserve to be in such places. Hence as part of the Church’s social responsibility, this gesture will put smiles on the faces of persons accommodated in these homes.

Presenting the items and an undisclosed amount to the representatives of the institutions, Apostle Dr. Michael Nimo on behalf of the Church wished God’s blessings and protection for the destitute and the children in such homes.

The representatives from Remer Ghana on behalf of the recipients thanked the local assembly for the kind gesture and wished God’s blessings for all who contributed in diverse ways to put smiles on their faces.

Also, Rev Emmanuel Awotwi, the Internal Missions Coordinator of the Christ Apostolic Church International received the bales of clothing on behalf of the Missions Directorate of the Church.

He was thankful to God, the local pastor, management, and the entire members of Bantama Central Church for the donation and pledged that the items will be quickly distributed to persons in the Missionary Areas of the Church.
