The Christ Apostolic Church International as a way of supporting the government's efforts in the fight against Coronavirus has donated an amount of GHC 100,000 to the COVID-19 Trust Fund.
A delegation from the church led by Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong, General Secretary presented the cheque to the receivers of the trust fund.
Before the donation on 3rd April 2020, the Chairman of the church Apostle George Yeboah declared three (3) days fasting and prayers for Ghana against the novel Coronavirus, also known as Coronavirus.
Apostle George Yeboah believes in the following scriptures and statements in the word of God, for which reason he has declared the three days prayer and fasting and called on all members to partake in order for God to deliver Ghana from this pestilence:
“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.” Exodus 15:26 (KJV)
“Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?” Jeremiah 8:22 (KJV)
“again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” Matt.18:19 (KJV)
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you lose on earth will be lost in heaven.” Matt. 18:18 (NKJV) etc.
It must be recalled that before the government officially introduced the restriction of mass gathering, the Church organised a massive prayer meeting at the Black Star Square to pray for the nation.
Present at the occasion were Apostle Samuel Amponsah-Frimpong (General Secretary), Apostle Samuel Addai-Kusi (Director of Missions), Apostle Joseph Kweku Arhin (Director of Christian Education), Elder Robert Ansu - Yeboah (Director of Finance), Elder Emmanuel Abankwah (General Elder).
Christ Apostolic Church Int. is a Pentecostal church that is known to believe in divine healing. In the early days of the church, church members were barred from visiting the hospital to seek medical care whenever they fell sick since they believed God would heal them divinely.
History has it that, one Mr Daniel Osei received divine healing from a deadly pestilence in 1921 at Asamankese through a prayer meeting of Apostle Anim. Additionally it is on record that one Apostle Daniel Owiredu of the C.A.C. raised back to life a half-dead prince at the Manhyia palace when he was shot by someone. This miracle moved the then Ashanti king to donate a big plot of land to CACI at Bantama, Kumasi. These were but few examples of divine healings which members experienced in the early stages of the church.
