The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has granted clubs participating in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup an additional five days to register their players for these continental tournaments.

CAF has extended the deadline for submitting player lists for both competitions until Thursday, July 25, 2024. Initially, registration for the first preliminary round was set to close on July 20, 2024.

This extension benefits Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex and Ghana FA Cup champions Nsoatreman FC, giving them extra time to register their new signings.

FC Samartex will compete in the CAF Champions League, while Nsoatreman FC will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Both clubs have strengthened their squads with quality players and are eager to make a significant impact in their continental debuts.

FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC are currently engaged in intense preseason training in preparation for the competitions set to begin in August.
