CDM Bible College holds fourth congregation

The CDM Bible College on Sunday held its Fourth Congregation at Ayi-Mensah in Accra; during which 14 students were awarded certificates in Missions and Disciple making.

Apostle Joseph Felix Kwesi Mensah, the Rector of CDM Bible College, in his address, cautioned bible colleges and schools to desist from incorporating other secular programmes into their curricula, to make them attractive to more students and to enable them to (the institutions) make more money to run.

He said such a move by some bible colleges was defeating their very primary purpose of preparing people for roles in the Christian ministry.

He said the CDM Bible College, however, remains committed to its vision of making Christlike disciples; who would further make more Christlike disciples and plant churches.

“Churches are becoming so conscious and passionate about money and how to create wealth; such that if we don’t take care, Christlikeness will die out of the Church,” Apostle Mensah said.

He urged Christians to rise up to the task of making Christlike disciples to save the world from the spirit of homosexuality, which was spreading very fast in many western nations.

He said the advancement of extremists groups such as Boko Haram and Al Qaeda were threats to the Christian faith; which calls for prayers by all Christians and intensification of efforts to making Christlike disciples.

Speaking on the theme: “He who wishes to save his life shall lose it,” Apostle Mensah said Jesus laid down his life for Christians and therefore, they should be willing to sacrifice their resources, time, energy and even their very lives for the salvation of their fellow men.

He advised the graduating students to be committed to the task of disciplining the whole world for Jesus or die with their hands on it.

Apostle Mensah, who is also the Chairman of the Apostolic Council of the Great Commission Church International, urged Christians to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added unto them, adding that “what shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and loses his soul”.

Dr Joseph Essibu, the Director, Ideal College, who was the guest of honour, said the knowledge gained by the graduates at CDM Bible College had prepared them adequately to conquer the world for Jesus; declaring that “Christlikeness is possible”.

Mr Prince Agyemang Yeboah, the Director of Sales and Marketing, Chemico Limited, who chaired the function, lauded CDM Bible College for pursuing God’s mission of saving mankind from sin.

He also advised the graduates to play their part of upholding Christlikeness and reaching out to save the lost.

The CDM Bible College is an international interdenominational institution that aims to produce Christlike disciple-makers, who know their specific calling from God and have enough urgency for the Great Commission to reproduce strategic and faithful disciple-makers, who will be labourers for finishing the unfinished Task within our generation.

It seeks to teach, train and build Christlike character and re-produce biblical models who will be pillars of truth in their generations.

The College, which started on January 23, 2011 with 17 students, currently has a population of over 200 students from Ghana, Togo and other African Countries.

It runs programmes designed to suit the busy worker and students, by providing a certificate course in Missions and Disiplemaking- consisting of three intensive residential modules, each lasting for a week.

Modules are run in January, May and July, and are specifically tailored not to conflict with the academic calendars of the major tertiary institutions in the country.

It also offers a diploma course in Biblical Studies and Disciplemaking, similarly made up of three intensive residential modules, each lasting two weeks.

The Diploma course is only available to people, who have already completed the certificate course offered by the College.
