CPP Christmas Message

The birth of Christ represents hope, peace and goodwill for all mankind and his teachings of love and sacrifice are things that we as Ghanaians must aspire to and reflect on.

These are qualities that we want to cutivate in all our relationships and associations with one another as we constantly remind ourselves that we are one nation, one people and with one destiny.

Fellow citizens, as we celebrate this Christmas let us resolve to promote the virtues that Christ represents and allow these to guide us to serve our fellow countrymen and women with humility and honesty.

We are aware of the great task ahead of us to transform our society as we strive to alleviate suffering and disadvantage. Ghana, Africa and the world still face a great challenge with unacceptable high levels of disease, poverty and illiteracy, among other social ills.

As a nation, we have continued to consolidate our democracy, overcoming excessive intolerance and rigidity. Our prayer as a political party is that we as a people will cultivate the spirit of moral courage in the conduct of our affairs and prioritise the issues that affect the majority of our citizens. It is our wish that the examples of love, compassion and selflessness that are synonymous with Christ guide us as we seek to renew ourselves and transform our communities.

Let us also remember all those who have suffered loss and tragedy this year. may we all be sustained by God’s love and comfort.

We wish you a peaceful and Merry Christmas. God bless you all and keep you.
