CPP Korley Clottey Secures A Brand New Office

Over the years, the Korley Clottey Constituency of the Convention People’s Party has never had a permanent party office. It is in this vain that a brand new party office was commissioned today by the National 1st Vice Chairperson of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Mrs. Susan Adu-Amankwah at a colourful occasion at Adabraka, near Niagara Inn Hotel Annex.

The Chairman of the Constituency Mr. John Sterlin who received all members to the ceremony said that the Korley Clottey Constituency of the CPP, is the seat of government and if the CPP would start winning seats for the party then it must start from that constituency. He promised that the executives of the constituency are determined to work hard to ensure that the CPP is able to win the Korley Clottey parliamentary seat in the Greater Accra Region.

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, the 2008 presidential candidate of the CPP, who independently sponsored the party office, also donated a motorbike to support the constituency in its organisational activities. He further stated that, as a business man, he is proud to be a CPP member and encouraged all CPP members to let their love for the party go beyond speechifying.

Dr Nduom called on all leading members of the party to support the party at the grassroot with offices, furniture and other CPP paraphernalia. He paid glowing tribute to the Korley Clottey Constituency executives for working hard to attract support from some members of the party, a gesture, which he described as ‘’historic’’. Korley Clottey CPP constituency office is the first office in the chain of over 60 offices that Dr Nduom intends to help the CPP officially launch in the next eight weeks.

Dr. Nduom also challenged all leading members of the party to consider contesting to become Members of Parliament in their various constituencies to energize the party at the grassroot and increase its votes in the 2012 general elections.

During the commissioning of the party office, the National 1st Vice Chairperson of CPP, Mrs Susan Adu Amankwah disclosed that this is the beginning of the “Yeresesem” Agenda of the CPP. ‘‘For a long time, the CPP had no Office in Korley Clottey Constituency. The acquisition of an office means that things are changing and the party is getting better and growing bigger,’’ she said.

The National Chairman of the party, Hon. Samia Yaba Nkrumah who arrived later at the ceremony expressed her ecstasy about the new office and pledged to support the constituency. She promised to help the constituency acquire other things that will help the office work more effectively.

Present at the ceremony were the Outgoing National Organizer, Miss Evelyn Lamisi Anabilla, Mr Richard Nii Oshu, the Regional 2nd Vice Chairman, Mr Paul Anaman, Regional Secretary, Mr Isaac Oteng, Regional Youth Organizer and other leading members of the party in the Region.
